Hi Anthony, i’m a 21 year old female, last time i checked (2 1/2 weeks ago) i was kg ( Lb) and I went to this sport institut that only does Power-plate. So they did an assessment of my body with some machine that sends frequences to your body and it can know how much fat, muscle, water, etc.. you have in your body, it’s called BIO-ZM if you’re interested to look it up..
Anyway, the results came that i was in lack of muscle and had too much fat percentage. Among the total lb, 54,164 lb is fat and the guy said that for my height, the average is lb (my goal..).
And the muscle mass that is on the result says i have lb of muscle and that i need to get to at least to get to the “norm”, which is not that much to gain but i want to gain more, to change/boost my metabolism, lose fat and be toned.
However, don’t misconstrue this message to mean that acute bursts of these hormones (as seen during times of acute stress) are counterproductive to muscle growth since that is missing the bigger picture; again, stress hormones are a necessary part of human physiology . Unless you have abnormally high cortisol, glucagon and epinephrine concentrations in the blood for prolonged periods of time (. Cushing’s Syndrome, chronic stress, etc.) there probably isn’t much reason to fret over lowering or inhibiting these hormones as is just not practical or healthy.
